Our most popular herb, with a wide range of flavors and colors. Famous for making Italian pesto and flavoring vegetables and fish. Some varieties are also used as cut flowers.
As with many of our easy-to-grow herbs, basil can be seeded directly into your garden in early through mid-summer. It grows quickly and yields well when seeded thickly into moderately rich, moist soil in full sun.
