Refreshing, clean aroma. Lovely combination of silvery-gray foliage with blooms in a range of violet shades. Popular for herbal crafts and dried arrangements. Lavender prefers well-drained, somewhat gravelly soil, and suffers in wet, humid climates. Medicinal: Calming to the nerves. Smelling the flowers is said to help relieve headaches and nausea. The essential oil is antibacterial and antiseptic.
