Strawberries
Commercially-grown strawberries pale in comparison to varieties that can be grown at home or on small local farms. Strawberries can be divided into three different types: short-day or June-bearing; day-neutral; and alpine. Johnny's offers disease-free, dormant bare-root plants from the first two types, and seeds from the second two types. Field-grown strawberries require a bit of extra planning and care, but are well worth the effort. Container varieties are perfect for resale or for gardeners with limited space.
