Every year Johnny's Breeding and Research teams trial hundreds of peppers from our own breeding program as well as cooperators in the U.S. and overseas. We select for flavor, appearance, and adaptability and only add the very best performing varieties to our product line. We are proud to include Sweet Bells of every size and color imaginable, peppers bred for greenhouse production, and an assortment of Sweet Specialties that includes Japanese shishito, Italian bull's horn/corno di toro, pimiento, snack, banana, and others. Our Hot Specialties includes habanero, cayenne, cherry, paprika, and padron; and our Hot Southwestern selection currently includes jalapeno, Anaheim/Numex, Santa Fe, Serrano, Ancho/Poblano, and Fresno peppers. This coming year we are planning on expanding our line by adding a super hot Ghost pepper with improved germination, and the AAS-winning Flaming Flare Fresno pepper.
