The most winter-hardy bunching onion.
Sow in spring for summer use or sow in fall for overwintering. Little or no bulbing. If your winters are severe, this is the one to grow. May be handled as a perennial by dividing the clumps the second summer to produce a new crop. Mini: 660 seeds. Packet: 1,980 seeds.

Growing Information:
CULTURE: Seed can be sown in early spring for summer use, and in July or August for fall and spring use. Sow 1/4- 1/2" apart in rows or 2-3" wide bands, 1/2" deep. HARVEST: Loosen with fork or underminer and gather. Wash, hydrocool, and hold at near freezing until shipped or displayed. AVG. DIRECT SEEDING RATE: 250'/oz., 4 oz./1000', 4,000'/lb., or 7 1/2 lb./acre at 50 seeds/ft. in 2" wide bands 18" apart. SEED SPECS: SEEDS/LB.: 180,000-215,000 (avg. 200,000).
