Unique mustard green of Japanese origin, producing rosettes of dozens of pencil-thin, white stalks and deeply cut, fringed leaves. Mild flavor. Continues to produce several weeks from one planting, regrowing after cutting. Wider leaves add weight to your mix. Mini: 220 seeds.

CULTURE: Sow from early spring through midsummer. In the South, greens are well adapted to fall plantings. Sow 15 seeds/ft., 1/4" deep in 2" wide bands in rows 18" apart. Harvest before flowering. For salad mix: In a 2" to 4" wide band sow 60 seeds/ft. Clip 4-5 wk. old leaves. PESTS: Flea beetles can be controlled with rotenone or pyrethrin, or better yet by covering with floating row cover (see Index) from day of sowing. AVG DIRECT SEEDING RATE: For bunching: 830'/oz., 13,000'/lb. At spacing above. For salad mix: 210'/oz., 3,300'/lb. at above spacing. SEED SPECS: Seed counts and seed size in this grouping vary. AVG.
