Growing Information:
Polygonum
GERMINATION: 14-60 days at 70-75ºF (21-24ºC). Stratification (21 day pre-chill) and scarification (scratching the seed coat before sowing) are required to increase germination percentage.
CULTURE: Indoors (recommended) - Sow 8-10 weeks before last frost in seed flats; cover seed lightly. Place seed flats in a protected area outdoors for at least 21 days or longer. Bring into the greenhouse and keep moist until emergence. Transplant to larger containers when first true leaves appear. Outdoors - Sow seeds as soon as soil can be worked in early spring or autumn.
LIGHT/SOIL: Full sun to light shade in average well drained soil.
USE: Excellent cut or dried. Beds and borders.
SPACING: 18-24".
HARVEST: Fresh or Dried - flowers are 80-100% developed. Stand upright to dry.
