Excellent at micro mix, baby leaf, and full size. Red Choi changes from dark green leaves with maroon veins at micro size to dark maroon leaves with green undersides and thin green petioles at full size (8-10"). Avg. 150,000 seeds/lb. Packet: 250 seeds.

Growing Information:
Greens, Pac Choi
CULTURE: Sow from early spring through midsummer. In the South, greens are well adapted to fall plantings. Sow 15 seeds/ft., 1/4" deep in 2" wide bands in rows 18" apart. Thin plants to 6" for mini heads, 8-12" for full-sized heads. Harvest before flowering. For baby-leaf, sow in a 2" to 4" wide band sow 60 seeds/ft. Clip 4-5 week-old leaves.
PESTS: Flea beetles can be controlled by covering with floating row covers (see index) from day of sowing.
AVG DIRECT SEEDING RATE: For bunching: 830'/oz., 13,000'/lb. at above spacing. For baby-leaf: 210'/oz., 3,300'/lb. at above spacing.
