OMRI listed crop protectant.
A special formulation of Kaolin clay that forms an effective film barrier, protecting plants from pests by repelling them, causing irritation and confusion, and preventing feeding and egg-laying. Also protects against sun damage and reduces heat stress, cooling plants by 10-15° F. Typical application is by sprayer, but whole trays of seedlings can be dipped for early protection. To avoid post-harvest washing, applications should be made early-season only. Residue may be minimized if applications to smooth skin crops cease when fruit is approximately 1/4 of its expected size. If applied after fruit set, non-toxic white film may be present at harvest, reducing marketability, but can be easily wiped or brushed and washed off with water. Highly recommended for cucumbers, squash, and tomatoes, most fruit trees, and grapes. Use 1/4- 1/2 lb./gal. of water; 25-50 lb./100 gal./acre.
