Chicory, Endive
CULTURE: Belgian endive may be grown anywhere in the country for harvest of fresh greens throughout the winter. Complete cultural and forcing instructions are included with the seeds,and can also be found in the "Grower's Library" on our website.
PLANTING: Similar to carrots. Thin to 2" apart.
HARVEST: Dig roots in early October and store like carrots at 32°F/0°C. To force, remove from cold storage to a cool (50°F/10°C) room. Keep in complete darkness. Cut chicons when they become dense.
