Dense, heavy heads of mildly bitter leaves suitable for salads or sautéing. Similar to Natacha but a couple of days earlier, slightly smaller, and with darker green leaves. Organically grown. Avg. 300,000 seeds/lb. Packet: 200 seeds.

CULTURE: Generally, see "Lettuce". Spacing closely at 8-10" encourages these varieties' self-blanching characteristics.
DAYS TO MATURITY: Baby leaf maturities are from direct seeding. Other maturities listed are from transplant; add about 10 days if direct seeding.
AVG. DIRECT SEEDING RATE: 160'/1M; 830'/5M; 4,150'/25M; 175M/acre at 6 seeds/ft. in rows 18" apart. For salad mix (harvest at 4-5 weeks) sow in 2-4" wide bands, 6 seeds/in., 13'/1M; 65'/5M; 250'/oz.; 4,000'/lb.
