A small endive technically of the French Trés Fine Maraîchère type, often referred to as "frisée" in the salad mix trade. Smooth, but deeply cut, toothed pale green leaves. Forms a mass of tender blanched leaves at the heart for salad mix. Like all T.F.M. types, it can be sensitive to tipburn and requires an attentive grower. Mild taste. Organically grown. Avg. 300,000 seeds/lb. Packet: 200 seeds.

CULTURE: Generally, see "Lettuce". Spacing closely at 8-10" encourages these varieties' self-blanching characteristics.
DAYS TO MATURITY: Baby leaf maturities are from direct seeding. Other maturities listed are from transplant; add about 10 days if direct seeding.
