Tools and Supplies > Pest and Disease Control

New! OMRI and WSDA listed. Used as a spray for foliar diseases or as a drench for root diseases.

A high concentration of patented beneficial bacterium on a 100% water soluble powder. Very effective as a soil drench against Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, Phytophthora, Verticillium, Phymatotrichum omnivorum (cotton root rot) and many others; also for foliar use against powdery & downy mildew, Botrytis, Alternaria, and other airborne pathogens. As a drench, it makes minerals and micronutrients more available to plants, enhances root systems, promotes plant vigor and strength. Can be used up to and including day of harvest. Non-toxic. Labeled for most fruit, vegetable, field and fiber crops. Contains microorganism Streptomyces lydicus, strain WYEC 108. When introduced into the plant, this microbe colonizes and grows around the root system (as a drench) or foliage (as a spray). The microbe then forms a synergetic relationship, feeding off the plant's exudes while secreting beneficial and anti-fungal byproducts. The combination of colonization and protective secretions forms a defensive barrier around the plant, which in turn suppresses/controls disease-causing pathogens. The microbe has also been shown to prey on certain fungi, disrupting their cell walls and disabling them in the process. This symbiotic relationship between plant and microbe is the optimum balance for a natural, productive growing environment. Average use: ½ teaspoon per gallon of water.
