Eye-catching trumpets have the texture of lush velvet.
Single and bicolor blooms are blue, chocolate, deep red, orange, pale blue, purple, red, and yellow with exotic veins in contrasting colors. Blooms all summer. Wonderful for containers, borders and also as a cut flower. Vase life of 5-7 days. Ht. 12-16". Avg. 123,200 seeds/oz. Packet: 100 seeds.

Salpiglossis
GERMINATION: 7-14 days at 70-75ºF (21-24ºC).
CULTURE: Indoors - Sow 4-6 weeks before last frost. Darkness is needed for germination. Transplant out after danger of frost is past. Outdoors - After last frost.
TIP: Pinch center when about 5" to encourage branching. May require support. Protect from wind; deadhead regularly. Plants not firmly established prior to hot weather will burn.
LIGHT/SOIL: Full sun; average, well-drained soil.
SPACING: 8-12".
USE: Containers, borders, or cut flowers.
HARVEST: Fresh - Flowers begining to open.
