GERMINATION: 14-21 days at 55-65ºF (13-18ºC). Presoak seed 24 hours.
CULTURE: Outdoors (recommended) - 6 weeks before last frost, 12 seeds/foot. Darkness required for germination. Thin. Indoors - 4-6 weeks before planting out, 2-4 seeds/cell or pot. Thin. Transplant out as soon as soil can be worked; seedlings aren't damaged by frost.
TIP: Mulch to keep roots cool. Pinch when 6-8" tall to encourage denser branching and more flowers. Harvesting flowers increases bloom.
LIGHT/SOIL: Full sun; rich, deep, loamy, moist, well-drained soil.
SPACING: 6-12". Trellis needed.
USE: Cut flower, back of border, fences, trellises, arbors, cottage gardens.
HARVEST: Half the flowers on a stem are open.
