This tender perennial produces 5-10" long spikes of small lilac to pale violet flowers with orange eyes. From July to frost the fragrant blooms are produced on woody stems above silvery blue foliage. Heat and drought tolerant, shrubs can reach 4 1/2-8 ft. tall. This year at the farm it only reached 4 1/2' tall. It can get taller in warmer climates and in it's second year. Makes a great ornamental in the landscape or in sunny borders. For cut flower use, harvest when flowers first begin to open. Can be treated as a perennial shrub in Zones 6-10. Ht. 54-96". Avg. 425,300 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.
