Shipping Information & Notes
PLEASE NOTE: Fuseable™ pellets are not as sturdy as the tough, clay-coated pellets. The coating is delicate and they should be sown by hand. The intent of this type of pelleting is to hold the different seeds in one pellet.
DAYS TO GERMINATION: 8-10 days at 70-75°F (21-24°C).
SOWING: Transplant (recommended): Sow 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow single pellet into 288-, 128-, 105-, or 72-cell plug tray. Do not cover as light is required for germination; a light covering of vermiculite may be used to help maintain moisture. Keep soil surface moist to completely dissolve the pellet. Transplant into final container 5-6 weeks after sowing. Harden off and plant outside after the last frost. Pinching will promote bushier plants. Direct seeding is not recommended.
GROWING ON: Maintain temperatures at 65-76°F (18-24°C) during the day and 59-64°F (15-18°C) during the night. Avoid excessive watering and drought. Coleus is a low to moderate feeder.
LIGHT PREFERENCE: Sun/Part Shade.
SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Average, well-drained soil. High fertility can lead to dull coloration and lush growth.
PLANT HEIGHT: 12-18".
PLANT SPACING: 9-12". For growing in containers, use 3-5 plugs per 10" container.
HARDINESS ZONES: Annual.
USES: Bedding, mixed containers, window boxes, mass planting, filer in bouquets, and houseplants.
