CULTURE: Belgian endive may be grown for harvest of fresh greens throughout the winter. Complete cultural and forcing instructions are included with the seeds, and can also be found in the "Grower's Library" on our website. PLANTING: Similar to carrots. Thin to 2" apart. HARVEST: Dig roots in midfall or after a few light frosts and store like carrots at 32°F (0°C). To force, remove from cold storage after 6-10 weeks to a cool, 50°F (10°C) room.
