Spinach: Early, Mid, Late, and Overwintering
Johnny’s Planting Programs are designed to take the guesswork out of succession planting, allowing you to easily extend your harvest throughout the growing season. Slow-growing spinach varieties mature best under warm conditions, whereas faster-growing varieties mature best under cooler conditions.

Tech Tip
In the North, spinach can be grown in a hoophouse right through December. The key is to have the spinach established before the day length drops below 10 hours, after which growth rate slows but tolerance to cold temperatures remains in effect until crop harvest.
