Position Summary

The Ecommerce Coordinator is part of a cross-functional team that supports the Johnny's Selected Seeds website. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of website issue resolution, proactive strategic planning to optimize the website experience, and project work to support various areas of website merchandising and digital marketing.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized. The technical skills required can be trained for the right candidate, who is passionate about web shopping and committed to helping create a superior website customer experience.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based at Johnny's business office in Fairfield, Maine. The position reports to the Ecommerce Manager.

Key Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for varying levels of strategy, planning, and execution in the following areas:

• Website User Experience, Development, and Maintenance
  • Act as the point person for website issue reporting. Assist with prioritizing and communicating website issues to the Johnny's team and outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Act as the project manager for website tickets with the website development team, including communicating priorities from the Johnny's team, setting sprint timelines, and organizing the internal QA efforts.
  • QA website development releases, including overall website regression testing as well as detailed testing of sprint items, to resolve issues or add new website features.
  • Perform proactive audits of Johnnyseeds.com and other websites to provide the Marketing and IT teams with a list of user experience opportunities.
  • Assist with the creation and management of our ecommerce and user experience roadmap.
  • Provide regular communication to internal stakeholders regarding the status and resolution of issues.
  • Assist with monitoring onsite customer behavior metrics, especially as they relate to website usage and experience.

• Website Data Integrity
  • Update and troubleshoot website issues related to product information, shipping, tax rates, and inventory.
  • Manage promotion and offer code setup and communication.

• Website Merchandising and Digital Marketing
• Provide technical assistance for website merchandising setup initiatives, including customer groups, campaigns, and content slots.

• Assist with marketing and ecommerce related projects as needed.

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, business, computer science, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, IT, or project management preferred.

Qualifications & Skills

• This is a highly cross-functional role that requires someone who can operate in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and is eager to learn about all things direct-to-consumer.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders, to continually drive the best customer experience possible while meeting business objectives.
• Passion for online shopping and new technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and basic HTML/CSS knowledge a significant plus.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and CRM a significant plus.
• Experience with Google Analytics and a general understanding of ecommerce performance metrics.
• Experience with project management tools, including Basecamp, Wrike, Monday.com, or Jira a plus.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Agile project management knowledge a plus.
• Effective time management skills.
• Proactive self-starter, with an ability to identify issues and areas of opportunity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to work effectively as a remote employee and team member.

Pysical Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, business, computer science, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, IT, or project management preferred.
