Marketing Project Coordinator
Position Summary
The Marketing Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, and executing select areas of Johnny's marketing efforts, including the creation of our catalog, tradeshow calendar, Sales team regional marketing plans, and various print and digital content efforts. In this role, you will create a high-level overview for projects as well as guide the team with detailed task lists, deadlines, status updates, and budgets.

We are looking for an individual who can help us tap into this passion and talent by organizing the team and process in a way to efficiently execute projects and campaigns to help our growers succeed.
This is a full-time hybrid position based at Johnny's business office in Fairfield, Maine. The position reports to the Director of Marketing & Customer Experience.
Responsibilities
- Become the point person for Johnny's annual catalog production plan. Each year Johnny's creates multiple catalog versions, including a 200+-page master catalog that is both a product guide and growing reference tool for growers and gardeners. In this role you will work with outside vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate all of the major elements of printing our catalogs. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Request quotes required for catalog paper, printing, and mailing costs and use the approved quotes to build and manage a catalog budget. This includes catalog post-production invoice management and budget reporting.
- Coordinate print quantities, distribution, and inventory counts for bulk catalogs and customer catalog requests.
- Assist with creation of the catalog mailing strategy in collaboration with Director of Marketing, Marketing Analyst, and Circulation Manager.
- Act as point person for catalog vendor communications.
- Create and manage the catalog and content teams' project plans. Providing the best product and growing information is part of our mission. This role will help manage the roadmap and project plans with the Marketing team for various projects, including catalogs, website articles, videos, technical guides, and webinars. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Create a catalog project plan and timeline to help the cross-functional catalog team assess milestones and risks. Send a weekly status update to the team with plan updates. Elevate project risks to a steering committee to ensure project success.
- Work with the Marketing content team to manage the content roadmap at a high level and coordinate with content owners to help meet deadlines and content goals. Facilitate regular content meetings with a cross-functional team, including members from Marketing and subject matter experts in Product Development and Sales.
- Elevate the regional Commercial Sales Rep efforts with Marketing support. In this role you will work as the liaison between the Commercial Sales and Marketing departments.
- Attend weekly Sales meetings to gain insights and feedback from the Sales team and share Marketing effort updates.
- Partner with the Sales Reps to develop a commercial tradeshow calendar, booth displays, and event presentations.
- Gather details for regional marketing needs or specific customer requests from the Sales team and support the development of those efforts with the marketing team.
- Support Marketing and Sales projects as required.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing operations or project management.

- Solution-oriented mindset, with a track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven self-starter with the tenacity to move ideas to action and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Ability to prioritize, self-manage, and seek help when necessary.
- Proficiency with software programs, including Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with project management software options. Experience with Wrike, Basecamp, and Monday.com a plus.
