GERMINATION: 7-14 days at 70-85ºF (21-29ºC).
CULTURE: Outdoors (recommended) - Sow where plants are to bloom after danger of frost has passed and soil is 70-85ºF (21-29ºC). Light aids germination. Indoors - Sow 6 weeks before last frost in 2-3" containers. Transplant out after danger of frost is past.
LIGHT/SOIL: Full sun; fertile loam or sandy soil with good drainage. Tolerates poor soil. Excess nitrogen results in tall plants with few flowers.
SPACING: 12-24".
TIP: Deadhead for longer bloom.
USE: Fresh cut flower, back of beds, border, annual hedge.
HARVEST: Flowers 90 to 100% open with tight centers. Stand in deep, warm water several hours.
