Larkspur
GERMINATION: 14-21 days at 55ºF (13ºC). Prechill seed at 35ºF (2ºC) for 7 days.
CULTURE: Outdoors (recommended) - Early spring for summer bloom or fall for bloom the following year. Darkness required for germination. Seeds do not germinate well when soil temp. is above 55ºF (13ºC).
GROWING ON: If growing transplants, grow at 55ºF (13ºC) until ready to plant out. Plants have tap roots and do not transplant readily.
LIGHT/SOIL: Full sun; rich, well-drained, slightly alkaline soil.
SPACING: 4-6". Support recommended.
USE: Cut or dried flower, back of beds.
HARVEST: Fresh - 2-3 basal flowers open on up to 1/3 of stem. Dried - majority of flowers on stem are open but before petals drop.
