Make your own seed-starting blocks.
Easy to use. Moisten soil mix such as Johnny's 512, push block maker down, turn, squeeze, and lift. Set filled block maker into a tray and release. Makes 3/4" square mini blocks for lettuce, small-seeded flowers and herbs, and seedlings to be transplanted into medium blocks later, allowing efficient use of precious heating mat space. Dimples in tops of plungers make small depressions in the tops of soil blocks for seeds.
