Designed to singulate larger seeds such as peas, corn, beans, and even flat seeds like pumpkins.
A flat seed plate set at an angle rotates at the bottom of a large seed hopper, and precisely meters larger seeds. A few standard seed plates are available as well as a blank plate with pre-drilled pilot holes to allow customization for specific seeds. Double disc opener shoe is standard.
Transparent plastic 7.3 Qt (7 Liter) hopper makes it easy to see remaining seed at all times - no running out in the middle of a row, and the quick-release is convenient for emptying and saving remaining seed as well as changing plates. Functions even with minimal seed in the hopper.
Planting depth is controlled by plow height, and adjusts with a single screw. Soil scrape plate covers the seed; rear wheel firms the bed. Six included sprockets may be arranged to regulate seed spacing from 2" to 42" to exactly suit the grower's needs. Push handle adjusts up and down and laterally, for footpath operation. Three-point hitch versions of this seeder are also available.
