Nosento Limegreen (F1) Marigold Seed
Nosento Limegreen (F1) Marigold Seed
Nearly scentless lime-green to pale yellow blooms.
A good choice for those who dislike the classic marigold fragrance, as the 2–3" blooms produce little to no scent. Deep green centers lighten to lemon-yellow as blooms mature. Dark green foliage. NOTE: Light-colored marigolds such as Nosento seem to be more attractive to Japanese beetles which feed on petals and foliage, causing damage.
• Edible Flowers: Use the flowers to dress up salads and desserts or cooked in egg or rice dishes. Flavor is floral with hints of citrus and spice, and slightly bitter. Remove the petals from the flower base before consuming as the base can be quite bitter.
Ht. 26–32". Avg. 8,700 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.
