'Linen' Zinnia—Developed by Johnny's

This is 'Linen' zinnia developed by Johnny's plant breeding team. From the same background as 'Ballerina' zinnia, 'Linen' is a more refined selection. It offers a higher degree of uniformity in color palette and bloom shape with the primary benefit being that 'Linen' has a much higher percentage of these full, dahlia-shaped blooms with a really small percentage of cactus-shaped blooms.

The team selected 'Linen' to have nice full double blooms. The flower size tends to be a bit smaller compared to 'Ballerina' but still quite large at four to five inches.

We named this variety 'Linen' for its clean, neutral color palette that you might describe as oatmeal or cream with a pale pink or peach cast. As the flowers age, they take on more peach and pink hues. We're in a seed production field here with lots of older flowers, so we can see what that looks like.
