Its sturdy white blooms are an excellent special detail in wedding design work and boutonnieres, in addition to wholesale and market bouquets. Also known as globe amaranth and common globe amaranth. DAYS TO GERMINATION: 5-14 days at 70-78°F (21-26°C).

SOWING: Transplant (recommended): Sow 6-8 weeks before last frost. Keep soil surface moist. Transplant to cell packs or larger containers about 3 weeks after sowing. Transplant outside after danger of frost has passed.
Direct seeding is not recommended.


SOIL REQUIREMENTS: Any soil with good drainage.

PLANT SPACING: 6-8". No pinching or support is necessary.


HARVEST: Fresh: Harvest when flowers are in color but before fully open.
Dried: Harvest when flowers are completely open; hang to dry.

USES: Cut flower or bedding plant.
