Ornamental & Dry Field

CULTURE: Grow like sweet corn, planting early to ensure good, dry ripeness. Normally corn is left out for several frosts, but the ears may be picked after the husks begin drying. Bring husked ears under cover to complete drying. Days to maturity were recorded here at our farm. (Lat. 44.5°N). Corn will generally mature earlier farther south, later farther north, all environmental conditions being equal. NOTE: Ornamental and Field Corn seeds are untreated unless treated is offered in variety description. SEED SPECS: Number of seeds/lb. varies widely, and is listed with each variety below. PACKET: 2.5 oz. unless otherwise noted (avg. 200 seeds, sows about 60').
