Handheld Garden Dibble

Product ID: 9597

Sturdy and ergonomic.

Two underutilized Maine hardwoods come together in this ergonomically designed dibble. The shaft is made of hornbeam, nicknamed "ironwood," and the handle is made of golden birdseye maple. Because hornbeam trees are small, they usually become firewood. We think turning them into a sturdy and attractive garden tool is a better use of resources. A special new shaft design incorporates finger-shaped cutouts for improved grip and comfort. The handle size and shape minimizes pressure on the palm when creating holes in the soil. Form follows function nicely in this design. For transplants, bulbs, garlic. Designed at Johnny's. Shaft is 9 3/4" long.
