Johnny's Selected Seeds is a rapidly growing, mail-order and web-based, employee-owned seed company located in rural Central Maine. We operate from a certified-organic research farm in Albion, Maine, as well as from offices in nearby Winslow and Fairfield. We're just across the Kennebec River from the town of Waterville, home of Colby and Thomas Colleges and the Maine International Film Festival. Farm Operations Ag Specialist I
The Agricultural Specialist I position is focused on supporting the Research and Production team in the growing and maintenance of variety trials, breeding workshops, and seed production crops at the Albion Research Facility and surrounding contracted fields during the growing season. During the off-season, this position will report to either the Fairfield or Winslow locations and will be focused on supporting either center's operations. This is a full-time, hourly position. Wage starts at $15/hr based on experience.

Operations Associate
Johnny's is currently seeking Operations Associates for our Day Shift. This position will primarily work in the Seed Packing department but will be required to cross-train in the Shipping/Warehouse areas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and has excellent organizational skills. Standard hours for Day Shift are Monday through Friday, 5:50 am-2:20 pm. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Starting pay for Day Shift is $17.00 per hour.

Purchasing Assistant
The Purchasing Assistant will coordinate the purchasing and movement of materials between vendors and Johnny's. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for communicating with vendors and shipping companies to ensure that all critical deliveries arrive on time. The Purchasing Assistant will also provide back up to the Buyers.

The Sales Support Specialist aligns in true partnership with one or more Territory Sales Representatives to enhance commercial customer support and increase sales. The Sales Support Specialist develops and fosters relationships with their contacts within the grower's organization. Provides backup for the Sales Representatives when they are traveling to trade shows, farm visits, or other times out of the office.
