Johnny's Selected Seeds is a rapidly growing, mail-order and web-based, employee-owned seed company located in rural Central Maine. We operate from a certified organic research farm in Albion, Maine, as well as from offices in nearby Winslow and Fairfield. We're just across the Kennebec River from the town of Waterville, home of Colby and Thomas Colleges and the Maine International Film Festival. The Application Administrator is focused on managing the day-to-day operations of business-critical applications in use throughout Johnny's Selected Seeds. This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications and works closely with the infrastructure and software development teams to ensure the applications achieve required service levels.

The Area Sales Manager plays a significant role as a leader focused on customer satisfaction and attaining the long and short-term sales and customer count goals for their directly assigned territory. This Area Sales Manager will also manage one to three other territories, and will work to expand our focus on the West Coast corridor. This position is full-time, exempt, located in Northern California. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with self-starter capabilities and proven success in the seed industry.

The Director of Breeding and Proprietary Product Development is focused on managing all aspects of the organization's vegetable breeding programs and proprietary product development, including collaborative efforts with independent breeders, to bring to market new, differentiating, and innovative varieties for their vegetable, flower, and herb product lines. The director will work closely with our product managers and research farm team as well as our marketing and operations departments. The position provides a unique opportunity to coach a team of creative breeders, technicians, and research assistants. This is a full-time position based at the research farm in Albion, Maine, and reporting to the CEO.

The Sales Support Specialist is focused on supporting the territory sales team, playing a key role in the overall success of the team while aligning in direct partnership with one or more internal and/or external Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate is resourceful; both self-driven and a team player; and comfortable communicating by phone, fax, and email to maintain client information. The ideal candidate will additionally have a proven work history, with exceptional customer service skills. This role requires excellent organizational and customer-focused skills.

The Seasonal Operations Associates in Seed Packing play a critical role in maintaining accuracy and prompt reporting of inventory control. The ideal candidates for this role will have the initiative to ensure that work is performed efficiently and that all seed pack jobs are done accurately and in a timely fashion. Individuals in this position may serve a variety of operational functions based on business needs. Must be available for varied hours as business dictates, Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
