Canada Shipping Information

• Standard and Expedited orders of in-stock items placed by 1:30pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, will ship the same day.
• Exceptions: Our same-day shipping policy does not apply to wholesale orders, as they can take 24–48 hours to process. Orders that require a Canadian Seed Analysis Certificate (CSAC) may be delayed beyond our control (see below for more information). Other exceptions include orders for products not currently in stock.
• Orders exceeding 300lb are shipped via LTL (less-than-truckload) freight shipping. Should your order qualify, Johnny's Selected Seeds will contact you regarding cost and provide you with information for importing the shipment. A Canadian customs broker is required.
• For items marked "Ships from supplier," transit times vary from 3–10 business days. Products marked as such cannot be expedited to Canada.
• Transit times and delivery dates cannot be guaranteed by Johnny's.
• Refer to the chart below for Standard shipping charges.

Standard

• Orders ship primarily via US Postal Service. Some items may ship UPS or FedEx Ground.
• Duties, Taxes, and Brokerage Fees may be assessed, based on the value and types of goods.
• Estimated shipping time: 10–15 business days (2–3 weeks).

Expedited

• Orders ship via UPS Expedited (Air).
• Duties, Taxes, and Brokerage Fees may be assessed, based on the value and types of goods.
• Estimated shipping time: 5–10 business days.

Orders Valued $2500 CAD or Greater

It is the responsibility of the importer to understand the rules and regulations of importing seeds to Canada. A customs broker may be required by the Canada Border Service Agency to have your order cleared through customs. Johnny's Selected Seeds will provide Seed Analysis Certificates and commercial invoices to facilitate clearance, but we are neither able to clear shipments on your behalf nor responsible for the cost of importation. Additional Shipping Charges

Items requiring shipping surcharges due to the product's size, weight, or shape are designated by a red asterisk * in our catalog and with a shipping surcharge note on the product webpage.

Canadian additional shipping charges are listed under Shipping Zone D. These are FOB (Freight On Board) shipping charges, and are applied during checkout and listed in the order total as "Surcharge."

Duties and Taxes may be assessed on any order shipped to Canada, and are based on the merchandise value. These fees are determined by the Canadian government. Payment of any duties or taxes is the responsibility of the recipient. More information can be obtained by contacting the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) or the Canada Revenue Agency.

Brokerage Fees may be charged for clearing the order through customs. Payment of the brokerage fees is the responsibility of the recipient.

Importation Fees may be collected on any shipment imported into Canada. Payment of the importation fees is the responsibility of the recipient.

Line-Item Fees may be collected on any shipment imported into Canada. Payment of line-item fees is the responsibility of the recipient.

Backorders will be shipped automatically at no additional cost. We reserve the right to choose the appropriate ship method for backordered items.

Johnnyseeds.com accepts the following payment methods:

• Johnny's-Approved Credit Accounts are available for commercial customers only. Download and submit a Credit Application to request approval.

Additional acceptable forms of payment include:

All prices are displayed in US dollars. For your protection, we require that the billing address for the order match the address on file with the bank issuing the credit card.

We are unable to ship certain items to Canada. These items are designated with notation to this effect in the product details and in your Shopping Cart.

It is always best to check with the CFIA regarding requirements for items you are importing. While we make every effort to stay current on and to accommodate import requirements, the importer (customer) is responsible for ensuring all requirements are met.

Canadian Seed Analysis Certificates (CSAC)

A Seed Analysis Certificate may be required, on the basis of seed species and quantity shipped. If your order requires a CSAC, it will be included at no charge. General criteria for CSAC are listed below.

• Small-Seeded Vegetable Crops
  >200 seeds/g (e.g., pepper, tomato, eggplant)
  Quantities weighing <500 g (< 1.10 lb) do not require documentation.
  Quantities weighing >500 g (1.10 lb) do require a Seed Analysis Certificate.

• Large-Seeded Vegetable Crops
  <200 seeds/g (e.g., bean, corn, pumpkin, melon)
  Quantities weighing <5 kg (11.0 lb) do not require documentation.
  Quantities weighing >5 kg (11.0 lb) do require a Seed Analysis Certificate.

• Herb Seed
  Quantities weighing <5 kg (11.0 lb) per lot do not require documentation.
  Quantities weighing >5 kg (11 lb) per lot do require a Seed Analysis Certificate.

• Flower Seed
  No quantity restrictions; do not require a Seed Analysis Certificate.
  EXCEPTIONS
  Quantities of sunflower weighing >5 kg (11.0 lb) do require documentation.
  Wildflower mixtures weighing >500 g (1.10 lb) CANNOT be shipped to Canada.

Johnny's is unable to ship Canadian orders without the required certificates.
