Video: Distributing Lady Bugs in a Screened Greenhouse | Integrated Pest Management at Johnny's Selected Seeds

Watch how we distribute ladybugs at our Research Farm in Maine in this short tutorial.

Known as ladybugs, ladybird beetles, and lady beetles, the larvae and adults of this group aggressively eat soft-bodied insects. They are a predator of aphids, mealybugs, whiteflies, scale insects, thrips, psyllids, and spider mites. Lady beetles can eat 40–50 aphids per day and 200–500 within a lifetime.
