Field Peas
Field peas are a widely grown crop used for seed, forage, and as a green manure suppressing weeds with its viny and rampant growth. Peas are succulent and break down quickly after incorporation. May be harrowed to re-seed after crop seed becomes mature, giving you two pea crops for the price of one. Can be harvested for dry peas, although removing the seed also removes most of the nitrogen; plow under or harrow in for best nitrogen addition.
