Each year, Johnny's trials and selects tomatoes specifically for protected-culture performance, as more growers turn to greenhouses, high tunnels, and hoophouses to extend the season, reduce the risks of variable weather and disease pressure, and optimize the quality and yield of their tomato production programs. We look for exceptional vigor and higher yield over a longer season at hotter temperatures than those of the field, resistance to the disease pressures of the protected environment, and the best flavor and texture possible. We offer beefsteaks, slicers, grapes, and cherries in a wide range of colors, in organic and conventional forms, as well as rootstock and professionally-grafted greenhouse tomato plants.
