Used with row covers or insect screen to create low tunnels or to support floating row covers. Inserted 6" into the soil at each end, 76" wires create hoops that are roughly 26" wide and 16-18" high at center. Hoops are spaced 5' to 8' apart. The #10 gauge steel used for these hoops has more spring to it than our #9 wire, so it creates smooth, uniform low tunnel hoops without kinking, resulting in less wear on row covers. Also, they are galvanized, so they resist corrosion much longer, which can also be abrasive to row covers.
