Herbs Basil Compact Genovese Basil

Everleaf
Basil Seed

Product ID: 3334

Productive, compact, and slow bolting.

Intermediate resistance to Fusarium and low-level resistance to downy mildew. 2-3" long, glossy and cupped leaves with classic Genovese basil aroma. Best for live plant or pot production and leaf/tip harvest. This very compact plant, with short spaces between leaves and branches, produces high yields of leaves and leaf tips. Harvesting for bunches is not recommended; extremely dense plants and short internodes make bunching difficult. Recommended seeding rate for containers: 2-5 seeds per 4" pot. Slower to flower than other varieties by up to 8 weeks. We've observed 5–10% of plants flower at the same time as standard basil varieties. Ht. 16–24". Avg. 19,700 seeds/oz. Packet: 50 seeds.
