'Finola' Double Late Flowering Tulip

A closer look at 'Finola' tulip from Johnny's

We're looking at some of our later flowering double tulip varieties today. The variety in front of me is 'Finola'. 'Finola' is a later flowering pink tulip. You can see this plot is just starting to open and as the buds open they really have more of a green and white hue to them. But then as the blooms continue to develop, the petal edges take on a blush pink color and the blooms get a little more pink as they continue to mature.

So it's a really interesting variety to watch open. And it is a beautiful combination of ivory and cream and green and blush pink. And again, it's nice because it's a later flowering pink variety. You can see it's just starting to open. But this plot right next to me, this is 'Foxtrot', which is an earlier flowering double pink variety.

'Foxtrot', this plot is fully open and kind of starting to pass, but it's a nice transition into a variety like 'Finola', which is a little bit later flowering. So again, this is 'Finola', a later flowering double pink variety, nice full double blooms that transition from white and ivory to deeper pink as the blooms mature, sturdy stems and a good choice for a later flowering double pink.
