Fresh Picks for '26—New Veggies and Fruit
Steve Bellavia has worked for Johnny's for over 30 years. Four of those years were in the sales department, and the rest have been devoted to the Research Farm, conducting vegetable research. As a Product Manager, he oversees most of our heading brassicas, rutabagas, parsnips, and carrots. He is responsible for managing the assortment of these crops.
Ben Brown is a product manager at Johnny's Selected Seeds, managing vegetables, mushrooms, and fruits. He has been with the company for over 10 years, first as a commercial farmer working seasonally in the contact center and then moving to the pepper breeding program. Before working for Johnny's, Ben was a market gardener for 10 years, growing diverse vegetables, flowers, and herbs.
Brenna Chase is the Product Manager for carrots at Johnny's. She also manages other crops, including leafy greens and microgreens. She is responsible for managing the product assortment for these crops and overseeing the product development targets of Johnny's carrot, Swiss chard, and greens breeding programs.
Nate Gorlin–Crenshaw is Product Manager of cucurbits and tomatoes at Johnny's. He is responsible for selecting the product assortment for his assigned crops and directing the product development goals of our tomato and squash breeding programs.
